You will be a Registered Nurse (RGN) looking to develop your current skills in a unique and ever changing environment.
You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services. Prison Healthcare experience is not essential although we do ask that you have experience within primary care.
This role is a 9 month maternity leave contract, full time working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is up to £42,020 per annum depending on experience
HMP Leeds is s category B men’s prison based in Leeds, Yorkshire. The Leeds team adopts an inclusive, compassionate and punctilious attitude towards each other and their patients. Leeds is an unpredictable, fast paced environment where care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shifts will vary depending on the department you work for, we encourage you to contact us for more information.
Progression and development is encouraged and supported, this can be discussed in one of your regular supervisions with your line manager or clinical supervisor.
There is access to free parking in a secure car park and it is easily accessible from the motorway.
Our team is built of primary care, mental health, substance misuse and pharmacy who are supported by our clerical team and over seen by the head and deputy head of healthcare.
