About The Role

Do you have substantial experience within a management accounting or commercial finance team? You will be supporting the SFM in driving enhanced business performance and decision making, supported by the proactive utilisation of financial information, business analysis and the successful implementation of new projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting SFM & FMs in the management accounting and reporting for a number of operating units including month-end accounting entries, preparation of financial and non-financial information and provision of detailed commentaries
Supporting SFM & FMs in the forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the operating units
Ownership of processes underpinning aspects of monthly reporting & assurance across the region / service line
Support on both internal and external audit requirements
Support the management, implementation and compliance with financial control policies and processes across the units, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Ongoing process improvement focus
Ad-hoc analysis of business performance, commercial opportunities, etc.
Engagement with operational teams in pursuit of the above

The role is particularly suited to those with commercial or healthcare experience, however a multitude of backgrounds will be considered. 
The Finance Analyst vacancy is usually based out of our Head Office in Reading but can also be Remote based. This is a full time role, working for 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is advertised up to £35, 000 per annum.
 

About You

You will be a part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) / AAT qualified with a wealth of Microsoft excel knowledge and skills. Previous hands-on experience of using an ERP accounting system (Unit4 Business World / Agresso an advantage) and working in a multi-site/stakeholder role is advantageous; this will give you a great foundation for hitting the ground running in this exciting role within Health in Justice!
 
If you have previously worked in a healthcare or similar people cost-oriented environment, and are looking to refine and develop your skills in an organisation that is a specialist Healthcare provider, then we would like to hear from you! You'll have the ability to travel and visit prison sites across the Midlands & Yorkshire with this role; the location for this role is flexible and can be discussed in further detail at interview.
