We’re looking for an innovative Paramedic, who thrives on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting - performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.
You’ll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the Wings/ blocks.
HMP Highpoint is a Category C men's prison over 2 sites in West Suffolk on the A143, located near to Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Cambridge.
Working shift patterns cover a variety of hours between 07:45 – 18:15. The site has departments for Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance misuse and a Registered Pharmacy.
Training and support is offered for all staff, there is also and onsite gym accessible and free to staff as well as the benefit of free parking on site.
