In this role you will provide highly visible and inspiring clinical leadership for all staff throughout Practice Plus Group, championing a professional and open culture which empowers staff to consistently deliver high quality care with compassion. Supporting a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined and diverse clinical workforce to work as a cohesive operational group delivering first class treatments to patients.
You will be a key member of the senior management team of the Hospital and will provide the medical leadership delivering safe, efficient and reliable patient care to ensure that the standards set out within the contract are achieved and that the operational team works towards continuous quality improvement.
Responsible to the Hospital Director, and reporting to the Practice Plus Group Medical Director for Secondary Care. You will contribute to the development and implementation of Practice Plus Group’s key objectives to deliver services that promote optimum patient care, ensure efficient use of resources and promote a culture that is progressive and inclusive.
Challenging the ‘status quo’ in clinical operational matters where appropriate and using evidence based medicine to champion innovation and development. Whilst promoting a culture of innovation and change in the pursuance of improving quality of care, remaining within the bounds of the organisation’s policies and standard operating procedures.
As Medical Director you will set an example of multidisciplinary team working providing leadership in all areas of clinical service. You will work in partnership with Local Head of Nursing and Clinical Services Manager to ensure that financial resources allocated are managed in an efficient and effective manner and expenditure is within delegated financial limits.
By providing professional leadership you will promote a culture of the highest quality patient focused care and ensure medical staff are constantly aiming to improve the care they provide and abiding by the criteria of the GMC’s ‘Good Medical Practice’.
You will be a highly visible clinical leader ensuring staff receive timely and regular communications as well as being involved and engaged in the delivery of clinical services. Ensuring the continuous development of high quality, innovative care.
