Psychiatrist - HMP Guys Marsh

As a Psychiatrist at HMP Guys Marsh, you’ll provide dynamic leadership of the mental health profession across the services. You will be pivotal in engaging the mental health workforce to support the delivery of the organisation’s objectives, ensuring the provision of an effective high-quality mental health workforce within the available resources.

• Registered professional with current registration (GMC)

• Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
  
  
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development

• Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983
  
  
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

• Up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD

• Excellent communication skills with patients to understand their needs

• Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation

• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

• Good IT skills and IT literacy

• Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice

• Proactive problem solving skills

• Flexible attitude to working arrangements

• Motivated as an individual and when working in a team

• Ability to work within a busy environment

• Willing to learn and develop by being committed to self-development
