We're seeking an experienced Nurse or Paramedic Practitioner to join our team at our clean and modern Urgent Treatment Centre based in Portsmouth as the Clinical Lead.

The role of the Clinical Lead is to manage the clinical team within the UTC.

You will be a strong visible clinical leader, enhancing the practitioners' skills and knowledge and work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary team. In addition, you will contribute in meeting Key Performance Indicators within the set time frames.

About You

The UTC clinical lead will work with the Deputy Clinical Lead, UTC Service Manager, Head of Clinical Services and Hospital Director in the planning, developing and delivery of the UTC service and will initiate and implement change effectively in response to clinical or organisational demands.

This role will ideally suit a Senior Advanced Practitioner considering the move from Primary Care to Urgent Care.

You will also undertake a senior clinical position as a highly specialised and autonomous practitioner supporting the wider clinical team. You will undertake assessment and treatment of patients in the UTC who may present with complex and/or chronic illnesses and/or injury; to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate discharge as indicated as well as maintaining patient records.

About Us

*This bonus is offered to those who commence substantive employment within a Practice Plus Group secondary care location between 1^st October 2022 and 28^th February 2023 in a role wholly or mainly dedicated to the hands on delivery of patient care requiring registration with either the NMC or HCPC, and Sonographers. The bonus is paid in two parts, £500 at the end of your first month of employment and £1,500 after 6 months of employment conditional on successful completion of a probation period. The total bonus is pro-rata for part time joiners.
