About The Role

Are you a manager looking for a new environment, or are you a supervisor wanting to develop in your career?

If so, this could be the job for you!

As a dedicated Operations Manager, you will be a part of an ever-changing work environment looking after our Surrey OOH (Out of Hours) and CAS (Clinical Assessment Service). Our telephone triage services and out-of-hours services provide advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period, when their own GP surgery is closed.

You will be managing the operations team, consisting of coordinators, receptionists, drivers and other non-clinical staff. You will ensure that the teams are performing efficiently, conducting regular appraisals, training and relevant recruitment as and when required.

You will actively monitor and report on the service's performance and needs. As a leading contact, you will be motivating our staff to hit KPIs and develop even further so that we can give our team and patients alike a quality service.

This role will initially be for a 6 month contract, with the possibility of being extended or made permanent depending on business needs.

About You

You will be experienced in managing a team, preferably within a healthcare or operational setting. This means you will be a firm but fair leader with good interpersonal skills, who is able to communicate with both their reports as well as the wider team, including clinical staff, managers and resourcing.

You will be a problem solver who can make decisions under pressure, and have the ability to analyse data (eg performance data). This will guide you in troubleshooting and implementing ways to make our services as efficient as possible. As such, you will also have a proficiency in Microsoft Office, not only to use as a means for data handling and correspondence, but also to be able to present your ideas and findings.
