About The Role

I learn something new every day…

Are you collaborative, caring and compassionate?

Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work - if you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day, then this is the place to be.

You'll be carrying out general administrative duties within the healthcare department of the prison. Working within set routines, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the unit, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries.

A key responsibility is the collection and collation of accurate service performance data for internal and external reporting requirements. The situation in the prison can change at any minute. You need to be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and follow instruction diligently.

It’s this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you’ll have all the support you need to deliver the best practice possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team. You'll need to be confident in a prison setting as the office will be based in Healthcare, off a prison wing.
