About The Role

Are you are an experienced manager looking for a new opportunity?

Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work. If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day, then this is the place to be.

As a Project Manager you will work within the National Health in Justice project management team offering project management expertise to the South regions. This role will be responsible for the project management of service development improvement plans within our South prison cluster (SDIPs), service innovations and regional projects.

You will work closely with the national project management team, the regional team, and work stream leads to ensure that projects are delivered to time, within agreed costs and to a high quality throughout various project management phases.

You will be pivotal in the implementation of new innovations and mobilisations representing Practice Plus Group at external stakeholder meetings with Commissioners, Prison Senior Management and other business partners.

The role will be mainly home based but you will be required to travel across all of Health in Justice sites for meetings, with overnight travel. There is also an expectation to spend some time in our regional offices as and when required.

This position is working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract.

The salary for this post is up to £35,000 per annum + £4,000 car allowance as well as other benefits included such as pension, Practice Plus Group discounts and more.

The role will be based from home with travel as required across our health in justice sites and our regional offices

About You

We are looking for a self-starter, somebody who is highly experienced at delivering projects within a robust project management structure and tight deadlines. The individual should have good critical thinking skills and the ability to handle multiple complex projects at the same time.

Stakeholder management experience is essential as you will be accountable for building key relationships and must have experience of liaising with senior management teams.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working within a similar role and has the knowledge and experience of working with complex projects and a good understanding of project methodologies.

We require an individual who is motivated and who has the tenacity, gravitas and the emotional intelligence to work within a complex, highly pressurised environment.

About Us

Practice Plus Group is currently contracted into over 40 sites across England, providing a range of primary care, substance misuse and mental health services into the justice sector. As a healthcare provider, we recognise the fact that prisoners are a socially excluded group with complex healthcare needs that can often be associated with poor outcomes. We believe in putting the patient first, regardless of the environment or their history.

Practice Plus Group is passionate about the work that we do and have the following core values:

∙ We treat patients and each other as we would like to be treated

∙ We act with integrity

∙ We embrace diversity

∙ We strive to do things better together.

For the right individual, this presents a great opportunity to work with the leadership team within a niche sector for a forward thinking and growing service line. Over the last 6 years PPGs Health in Justice Service line has grown from a portfolio 12 prisons to our current 47 services. PPG is recognised as a leading outsourced NHS provider within the UK and wants to be known as providing the ‘best in class’ patient care within the criminal justice sector.

Please note Practice Plus Group retain the right to remove the advert prior to the closing date if a suitable candidate is appointed. Offers of employment are subject to receipt of satisfactory pre-employment checks.

At Practice Plus Group we actively promote diversity and equal opportunities and we are committed to this in both the running of our prison healthcare service and how we recruit our staff. We actively encourage applications from everyone with the essential requirements of the job, regardless of any protected characteristics.
